I'm really pleased with how this has turned out! I've had the idea in my head for ages, and only recently did it. Planning on painting it soon!

For Father!

T'is my Dad's birthday today, so I have created this for him as a card. He does love his Spitfires =]

 

Planes are hard to draw haha.

A woman... without any clothes on.

Even now after doing an entire year of life drawing. I sometimes still feel like some sort of pervert having to look up life drawing poses of naked people. But oh well, it's all for the greater good! Today i decided to try and do some art with some tonal study!

Really recommend it, has some great photos of models in many different positions and with numerous ways of lighting and selection of clothes.

Layout Designs!

For University we had to design a artist's studio from scratch. So we had to research it, design it and create this entire studio and I'm really pleased with my final drawing I feel that it's come out very well. There are a few minor things I would change but to be honest I am EXTREMELY happy with how it's gone.

Also if you haven't noticed, I haven't updated my self portraits in awhile... That's because I have failed the challenge and haven't made a new one in quite awhile. Mainly due to my forgetfulness and stupidity... I think i'll start it up again over summer. As i've been very busy with uni work as well at the moment. Sorry guys!

 T'was inspired by a game i was playing that night... hopefully if you're a gamer you should know what it is haha.

Inspired by The being human finale... it's not great but i was trying to drawing without an outline or anything! I did a normal and vampire version too haha

Hopefully another clear inspiration haha if not... you need to see more films then!

Feeling BLUE!!

I decided to go for something a bit different... or atleast i thought it was going to be but it wasn't really haha.

What i tried to do with this was use only one shade of colour so I painted in the background first and used that as the mid tones and erased and the same colour but with a higher opacity to create the tone.

Also i used no construction lines for this one, it's completely free hand =D

But I think for now, I think I'm going to stop posting these every day. I'll still be doing them each day but I'll post them weekly instead =]

Numero 4! Quite pleased with this one =] i'm now back home for the weekend and mum and dad... and Anna wanted to be in the picture too so that explains the little bit in the corner haha.

I did this pose seen as i have not had the best of luck lately and the day has not been good to me. But oh well one must try and keep their spirits high!

I choose you! Self Portrait!

 

I decided to dress up in my costume for a video game themed party i'm going to tonight. So i decided to use it for my self portrait too. It's first attempt at people in colour in photoshop in many years too. It's not great but i don't think it's that bad. 

And here is a study of my hand and foot haha... yeah they're kinda gross haha

 

 

Self Portrait numero deux!

I decided to try and make a new self portrait might as well keep trying to get better =D. So i think i have decided that i am going to try and follow suite by doing a self portrait each day for a year. Hopefully i'll be able to do it haha.

I spent a bit longer on this one, i kept trying to make sure that things were in proportion and in sync with each other. I've probably failed though knowing my luck haha.

... A self... Portrait?!

I haven't created a self-portrait in YEARS! so i thought i would have a go at one seen as everyone else in my house is doing so haha. I'm really pleased with the outcome at the moment =] might go back and tweek a few things later.

I'm just amazed that it didn't take me that long probably about 20 mins maybe?

EDIT!!

Not much tweeking done mainly just re-adjusting the eyes is all.

Slowly evolving the picture

 

I've now been working more on the design and decided to try and flesh out some of the image and add in some more details. I've also improved the lighting and added more to the backgrounds. I'm really pleased with how this piece is progressing.

New Concept =D

I am trying very hard atm to get into Digital art atm so i'm create quite a few digital pieces of work and here is now my second piece. I've named it 'A Servant Pushed Too Far' I'm really pleased with it so far and would love to hear some comments and criticisms! It's not finished yet, i do plan on adding some colour late on, as i created it in grey scale under the advice of Ryan again.

AGAIN!?

Ok I got some advice from a member of the ImagineFX community and decided to try adding some more dramatic lighting and darker contrasts to the drawing and i already think it looks 10x better!

The Cleansing

Here we finally are, i have now finished to the best of my abilities at the moment my first concept styled sketch =] I have to say that I'm very impressed with it. Big thank you to Ryan Wheeler for his advice and photoshop brushes! haha.

The actual drawing has improved so much from when it was just a simple doodle in my head. There were meant to be other things added to the design but i didn't want to over do the drawing and end up ruining it all.

ZOMG! There is still flying evil spaceships of doom!

Just been adding and altering some of the drawing, adding in some lighting some depth and also i improved the city so it's more detailed and looks more like a city for once haha.

Now just the forest, the fire, the lights and the animals to finish off the design!

Here is my first attempt at trying to some kind of digital concepty work. It's not finished yet but i thought I'd show a work in progress and i have to say that I'm very pleased with it so far =]... Especially the ship... I like my ship :3
